Itinerary
It’s time to start The Ride! Arrive at Phuket International Airport (HKT), where we’ll be ready to meet you and kick off this adventure. After we pick you up, you’ll have some time to settle into your accommodation and relax before the fun begins.
Make sure you arrive before 5 PM to catch the transfer and get ready for our first evening together. Tonight, we’ll head out for a group dinner—your chance to meet the crew, break the ice and set the tone for the next two weeks of diving, adventure, culture and unforgettable memories. Dinner included.
Kick things off with a leisurely breakfast, then we'll transfer to Khao Lak about an hour up the coast. We'll head straight to the dive shop to gear up and meet some of the dive crew before the liveaboard departs later tonight. In the afternoon nip into the charming streets of Khao Lak for coffee, snacks and a bit of shopping if you fancy. As the sun starts to dip, you’ll board your floating home—think wholesome dinners, sunbathing and plenty of diving for the next 3x days.
Breakfast included.
Day one under the sea starts at Koh Bon Bay—this fish-packed haven is your first taste of crystal-clear Thai waters. After surfacing, breakfast on deck comes with open-sea views. Post-lunch, we chase down Tachai’s famous pinnacle: dramatic drop-offs, swirling schools of barracuda and the chance for turtle selfies. When the sun dips, gather on deck for sunset cocktails before dinner, your night dive option awaits if you’re keen.
• 4 boat dives (Koh Bon & Tachai) • Breakfast, lunch & dinner onboard • All dive gear rental • Optional guided night dive (Counts as 1 of the 4 dives)
Today’s dive-plan revolves around Richelieu Rock which is consistently crowned one of the world’s best sites and our personal favourite in Thailand. Three morning drop-offs through reef-studded walls give you some really epic photo ops. Look of for the really big schools of trevally and emperor fish here. If you're really lucky, this is the spot for Whale Sharks too. Between dives, tropical fruit and coffee will keep the energy high. As the day cools, chill on the boat and chat about the absolutely insane day you've had on deck.
• 4 boat dives at Richelieu Rock (and Koh Tachai option) • Breakfast, lunch & dinner onboard • All dive gear rental
Squeeze in two last dives, we'll choose between Koh Bon Pinnacle, the West Ridge or a cheeky wreck if conditions allow. Then brunch on boat before check-out. Today we'll swap the salt spray for thick jungle air as we transfer you to Khao Sok in air-con minibuses. Arrive at the very cool and beautifully lit up Khao Sok Village, in time for a laid-back evening and a hearty local dinner.
2 Dives.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included.
All dive gear rental is included.
Kick off with a tubing run through Khao Sok’s waterways, a good laugh and some really cool scenery to kick our first activity on land. In the afternoon, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class led by a local chef, where you'll learn (and devour) authentic regional favourites that'll ruin a UK Thai takeaway forever. Evening finds you lounging at the lodge, cold Chang beer in hand, swapping stories as the sun dips behind the mountains.
Breakfast & Dinner included.
One of the most popular activities for anyone visiting Thailand and for good reason. Cheow Lan Lake, also known as Khao Sok Lake, is a stunning reservoir located within Khao Sok National Park. It's renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, encompassing limestone cliffs, lush rainforests & turquoise waters. This is a staple for any tour company, we're not re-inventing the wheel with this one, because it's just that good.
After checking in the bungalows and having a swim, we'll tour the lake on long tail boats at sunset, check out three sisters rock formation and explore some of the jungle before heading to the bungalows for dinner and soaking up the immaculate vibes with some Thai food to keep us moving.
Overnight on the floating bungalow.
Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.
Rise early for a quick boat sunrise boat tour on Khao Sok lake, might even spot some wild bulls if you're lucky. After breakfast, we'll pack up and head coastward, making a brief stop at Wat Don Sak with its ancient carved wooden doors. Awesome to see a Thai temple up close and learn a little about Buddhism from our local guide, this is a well rounded tour afterall. Catch the afternoon ferry to Koh Tao, where island life begins. Evening brings a casual dinner all together on us, as a little welcome treat to Koh Tao. Sorting proper Thai food and decent pizza before crashing at your digs.
Breakfast & dinner included.
A day trip that blends hiking, jaw-dropping views and beach time—what more could you want? John Suwan Viewpoint is one of the most iconic spots on Koh Tao, giving you panoramic views of the island’s lush greenery and turquoise waters that’ll have you reaching for your camera on the way up. After taking in the view, we’ll head down to freedom beach followed by Tanote Bay for some beach time, where you can swim, snorkel, jump off a giant rock or just relax and take in the laid-back vibes. It's the perfect way to experience the natural beauty that Koh Tao is known for.
Breakfast included.
Koh Tao is the second best place to dive in Thailand (behind Surin Islands of course). As usual, expect vibrant coral reefs, schools of tropical fish and maybe even a turtle or two if we’re lucky. Dive locations will always depend on the weather but we'll always try get out to the best sites if we can.
We'll be out all morning and back early afternoon, so plenty of time to enjoy the beach and watch the sunset later on.
Breakfast included.
Today’s your day to do whatever you want—no plans, no pressure. Explore the island, chill on the beach or go find some more hidden gems. Koh Tao is yours to discover, whether that’s hunting for the best coffee spot or finding a secluded bay to kick back and relax.
Breakfast included
We've been busy all tour with plenty of adventure, but today we're going to immerse ourselves in a little bit more Thai culture to ensure you get the well rounded travel experience we're here to create, so we’re kicking off the day with Muay Thai lesson in the morning. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience up your sleeve, this is your chance to learn Thailand’s national sport and get a serious workout in before you head home.
The afternoon’s all yours—shower, hit the beach, explore the island or simply relax and recharge.
Breakfast Included
It’s time to head back to the mainland as we make our way back to Phuket. After settling in, we’ll wrap up our adventure with a group farewell dinner by the beach. Think of it as a final celebration of the incredible moments we’ve shared, the friendships we’ve made and the stories we’ll take home with us.
Breakfast & dinner included.
All good adventures must come to an end. Today we say our goodbyes and head off in different directions, taking with us with some stories for a lifetime, new friends and memories we think you'll never forget.
Safe travels, we hope you enjoyed The Ride.
Breakfast included.

FAQ's
Yes, you'll need to be at least an Open Water certified diver before departure (SSI or PADI) to do any diving on our trip. However, our liveaboard requires divers to have completed either the Advanced Adventurer Course or the Adventure Deep Dive. Not Certified to 30m? No problem — we've got you covered with the below options:
Option 1: SSI Adventure Deep Dive — £39
This is a great option if you’re happy with a simple depth upgrade without committing to a full course.
A one-off, supervised deep dive completed on the first day onboard. It allows you to safely dive to 30 metres for the rest of the trip.
Valid for 12 months from completion.
Why choose this: It’s quick, affordable, and gets you diving deeper right away. Ideal if you’re short on time, but still want to access the deeper sites with your group.
📌 Note: This is a recognition certification, not a full license. It doesn’t count toward a certification pathway but gives you access to deeper dives on this trip.
Option 2: SSI Advanced Adventurer Course — £195
If you’re looking to take your diving to the next level, this is your best bet.
A full SSI course (equivalent to PADI Advanced Open Water Diver) that includes five specialty dives — one of which will be the Deep Dive to 30m.
Why choose this: You’ll finish the trip with a recognised certification allowing you to dive to 30m anywhere in the world. Perfect for anyone who wants to progress in diving and get more out of future trips too.
📌 This option gives you a full cert card and helps build confidence, skills and experience underwater — all while diving in some of the best sites in Thailand.
Not certified but keen to join? Reach out before booking and we'll discuss beginner-friendly options to get you dive-ready.
We use comfortable twin cabins throughout the trip — yep, even on the liveaboard! The boat is epic, with showers, chill zones and unreal food, but just a heads up: cabins are cozy, not massive — it’s a dive boat, after all!
On land, all our hotels come with aircon, Wi-Fi, comfy beds and a solid breakfast to fuel your next adventure. 🍳
The only exception? Our night in Khao Sok’s floating bungalows, an absolute bucket list spot. Expect comfy beds and a fan (no aircon), but trust us, the fan does the job and waking up on the lake is next level.
Absolutely! Many of our travelers come solo and leave with lifelong friends. Our group dynamic fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Divers make the friendliest people after all.
Our tours typically attract travelers aged 20-35. However, age is just a number—if you're young at heart and ready for adventure, you're welcome aboard!
Most accommodations offer Wi-Fi, but connectivity can be limited on the liveaboard and in remote areas. Consider purchasing a local SIM card or eSIM for more reliable internet access throughout your journey. For 2 weeks a local Sim Card will typically cost £15-20 and can be purchased at the airport or from 7/11.
Thailand is budget-friendly. We recommend bringing around £500 for personal expenses, souvenirs, and optional activities. But you can always spend more or less depending on your budget.
Using a travel card like Wise/Monzo/Starling can help you avoid foreign transaction fees.
Yep! Thailand has plenty of inexpensive places to take your laundry, we recommend packing enough to make it to Koh Tao and then doing a load of washing there, however you’ll find laundry services at most of our hotel stops.
Pro tip: Pack light, re-wear your faves, and leave the heavy suitcase at home — adventure > outfit changes.
Yes, comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations and diving activities is mandatory. Ensure your policy includes coverage for scuba diving up to 30 meters.
Pack light! Essentials include:
Swimwear and quick-dry clothing
Reef-safe sunscreen
A reusable water bottle
Lightweight rain jacket
Travel adapter (Thailand uses Type A, B, and C plugs)
Personal toiletries
Dive certification card and logbook

Great question and one we get asked a lot!
Throughout the tour, you'll be roomed with someone of the same sex from the group. If you're travelling with a friend or partner and want to share a room together, just let us know when you book and we’ll make sure you’re paired up.
On the liveaboard, things work a little differently due to cabin availability. If we have an odd number of guests, there’s a chance you might share a twin cabin with someone outside the tour group. We’ll always do our best to avoid this and keep you with fellow Ride travellers wherever possible.
In rare cases, if there's an odd number of the same sex, you might be placed in a triple room for certain parts of the trip. Again, we do everything we can to minimise this and make sure everyone’s as comfortable as possible.
If you’ve got any special rooming requests or concerns, just pop us a message we’re here to help!
