Classic Northern Red Sea. Wrecks, reefs, incredible marine life. Spring is a great time for this route. MY Topaz is a bigger, more luxurious boat with lots of space to spread out between dives.

MY Discovery 1
Northern Red Sea · Smaller more intimate boat
Same iconic Northern Red Sea route, peak summer. Discovery 1 is smaller and more intimate. Still very comfortable with amazing staff and food, just a bit more cosy. Great if you like that kind of vibe.

Southern Red Sea · Pelagic-focused route
A different route entirely, the BDE sites are remote, exposed and best dived by people comfortable in open water. October is the right time for big animal encounters here. You'll need 50+ logged dives to join.

THE ROUTES
The main thing separating these trips is the route and experience requirement. Both are great diving.
Northern Red Sea
April or July
WRECKS, REEFS AND VARIETY
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
10+ logged dives
FOCUS
Wrecks, reefs, diverse marine life. The incredible WW2 Wreck, the SS Thistlegorm.
CONDITIONS
Generally calmer, good for all levels
WILDLIFE
Reef fish, Turtles, Rays, Dolphins, incredible soft and hard corals.

April and June offer great visibility and conditions for diving

April - Northern Route
October - BDE Route
Larger, more spacious liveaboard with a premium feel. Plenty of room between dives. Buckets of deck space, spacious cabins, great food. A step up in terms of size and luxury.

MY Discovery 1
July - Northern Route
Smaller and more intimate than the Topaz but still very comfortable, with amazing staff and food. If you're on a budget or like the idea of a tighter-knit group and a cosier feel, this is the one.
